Congrats...!! Wizkid Won The "Artist Of The Year" In MTV’s MAMA Awards 2016

Nigerian singer Wizkid got the Artist Of The Year Award in the just concluded 2016 MTV African Music Awards in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Wizkid won the award ahead of fellow nominees, 

Black Coffee (South Africa),

Diamond (Tanzania), 

Sauti Sol (Kenya) and

Yemi Alade (Nigeria).

The 26-year old Afro beat singer has had a scintillating year which includes featuring in Drake’s chart-topping song, “One Dance”.

The song was a massive hit and stayed top on the Billboard charts for weeks, making Wizkid the first Nigerian to be on the Billboard charts.

In his acceptance speech, Wizkid said joyfully,

‘I want to say a big thank you to God, my fans and my family Sunday Are, Jada, Famo, R2Bees. Team Wizkid this is for you’.
